# She asked for a price on Friday night. You replied on Monday afternoon.

Story · Sales

Oakline and the other story companies are example companies, not named customers.

By then she had already met two other companies. One demo request: how it moves today, and how it moves when nothing has to wait.

Website · Book a demo, Fri 9:47 pm. Marisol O., ClearSmile Dental: "40 clinics. We need to switch before January. What would this cost us?" Unread for 65 hours, until Mon 3:10 pm.

- **50 minutes** of real work, in total
- **15 days** until she got a price
- **2 minutes**: the same request, done right

## Monday morning

9:04 am. Aisha opens the leads queue: 86 new forms since Friday. Somewhere in the pile is a woman who runs 40 dental clinics. On Friday night she wrote one line: "What would this cost us?"

Aisha won't reach her until after lunch. By then, two other companies already have.

## Meet Corvo

Corvo makes shift-planning software for clinics, restaurants and shops. 50 people, about 300 demo requests a month. Five people will touch this one.

- Marisol: the buyer. Wants a price before January.
- Tom: runs marketing and owns the website form.
- Aisha: answers new requests and books the meetings.
- Kenji: runs the sales calls with big customers.
- Grace: heads sales. Approves any special price.

40 clinics × USD 112 a month × 12 = USD 53,760 a year. USD 112 is Corvo's group price for 25 locations or more.

## Before: how the request moves today

| Day | What happens | Real work |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 · Fri 9:47 pm | Marisol's form arrives. An automatic email: "Someone will be in touch." | 0 min |
| Day 4 · Mon 9:00 am | 86 weekend forms. Tom's rule sends big groups to Kenji, but it misses "40 clinics" typed in a comments box. | 0 min |
| Day 4 · Mon 3:10 pm | Aisha reaches it, calls (voicemail) and emails. 65 hours after Marisol asked. | 12 min |
| Day 5 · Tue | "I've already seen two other tools. Can you just send me a price?" Aisha asks Kenji. | 3 min |
| Day 6 · Wed | Kenji: "Get her on a call, I'll price it there." | 4 min |
| Day 8 · Fri | Seven emails later, the call is set for next Tuesday. | 9 min |
| Day 12 · Tue | Marisol asks the price, and whether Corvo tracks hygienists' licences. Kenji: "Let me get back to you." | 8 min |
| Day 13 · Wed | Kenji asks Grace for the group price. Grace is at an offsite. | 4 min |
| Day 15 · Fri | Grace approves in 2 minutes. Kenji sends the price. Marisol: "Thanks. We went with a tool we met last week." | 12 min |

Nobody was slow on purpose. Marisol was ready on Friday night. The relay was not ready for two weeks.

## What the waiting really costs

- **USD 53,760**: a year of revenue, gone.
- **65 hours** before anyone at Corvo replied. Two other companies already had.
- **15 days** until Marisol got a price. She had asked for it on day 1.
- **2 days** for Grace's 2-minute approval to reach her.

Now multiply by 300 requests a month.

## Why "faster people" won't fix it

Make Aisha 10 times faster and she saves about 25 minutes. The price still reaches Marisol on day 15. The time was lost between people, and over a weekend.

Each tool runs one leg. To win this race you need someone who runs every leg, at 9:47 pm on a Friday.

## After: the same request, with WorkWeaver

WorkWeaver is a digital team member with its own email and phone number. Corvo gave it access to the form, the sales inbox, the calendars, the sales system and the price list. Aisha and Grace taught it the rules.

**Marisol · website form, Fri 9:47 pm:** "40 clinics. We need to switch before January. What would this cost us?"

**WorkWeaver, Fri 9:48 pm:** Reads the form and looks ClearSmile up: 40 clinics, so Kenji's customer and the group price.

**WorkWeaver → Marisol, Fri 9:49 pm:** "For 40 clinics the price is USD 112 per clinic a month, USD 4,480 in total. Yes, Corvo tracks every hygienist's licence and warns you 60 days before one expires. Kenji is free Tuesday at 10:00 or Wednesday at 2:00 pm. Which suits?"

**Marisol's AI assistant, Sat 8:02 am:** "Tuesday at 10:00 works. Is there a better price for two years?"

**WorkWeaver → Grace, Sat 8:03 am:** "ClearSmile Dental, 40 clinics, USD 4,480 a month. They ask about two years. Our rule allows 5% off: USD 4,256. Approve?" Tuesday 10:00 is already in Kenji's calendar. Grace approved at 9:20 am.

**WorkWeaver → Kenji, Mon 8:30 am:** Tomorrow's brief, on one page. Who: Marisol, operations, ClearSmile Dental. Cares about: licence checks, January go-live. Prices sent: USD 4,480 a month, or USD 4,256 on two years.

**On the call, Tue 10:00 am:** Marisol asks how long moving 600 staff takes. The answer is on Kenji's screen in seconds.

**WorkWeaver → Marisol, Tue 11:05 am:** The proposal and a January rollout plan are in her inbox.

- **2 minutes** to the first reply, with a price
- **Overnight** to a booked meeting
- **Day 5**: proposal in her inbox

People's time: one tap from Grace, and Kenji's call. Aisha's time: zero. Every rule still held. Grace still approved the special price. WorkWeaver carried the baton across every gap, including the weekend.

## Side by side

| Measure | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| First reply | 65 hours | 2 minutes |
| Price in the buyer's hands | Day 15 | 2 minutes after she asked |
| Emails to book one call | 7 | 1 |
| What Kenji walks in with | Notes skimmed 5 minutes before | A one-page brief |
| What Grace does | Approvals stuck behind an offsite | One tap, wherever she is |
| Result | Lost to the company that replied first | Proposal on day 5 |

## Things you never knew you could fix

One worker sees every request end to end, so it notices what no single person can.

- The requests nobody answered: "Last quarter, 31 groups with over 20 locations waited more than a day for a first reply. 19 never booked."
- What buyers ask before they buy: "8 in 10 clinic groups ask about licence checks in their first email. It isn't on our website."
- Which marketing brings meetings: Tom sees which campaigns became booked calls, not just clicks.

## Nobody is replaced. Everyone moves up.

- **Aisha:** sorting piles, matching calendars → talks to the buyers who want a person, and teaches WorkWeaver what a great-fit customer looks like.
- **Kenji:** skimming notes, "let me get back to you" → walks into every call prepared and spends his week selling.
- **Grace:** a queue of approvals → sets the price rules once and approves the rare special price in one tap.

People move from Human in the loop, doing every step, to Human on the loop: setting the bar, checking results and steering.

## How Corvo gets there

1. **Week 1, connect and teach.** Aisha and Grace spend an hour showing WorkWeaver how they work.
2. **Weeks 2 to 4, it prepares, people approve.** Aisha checks every draft before it goes.
3. **Month 2, it handles the clear ones.** Anything special goes to Grace.
4. **Month 3 on, people steer.** It runs the whole race, day and night.

Corvo decides at every step how much WorkWeaver may do alone, and can always pull back.

## Open your last 10 demo requests

Check how long each one waited for a real answer. WorkWeaver does not make one salesperson faster. It makes the whole relay move, at 9:47 pm on a Friday as well as 10:00 on a Tuesday.
